The route has been decided: I will continue heading south.
It was a tough choice which route to follow. So many negative opinons about Mexico and Middle America, so many newspaper articles filled with gruel crime especially in North Mexico. Some influences shaped my decision: a long and good conversation I had with the Border Protection office, the blog of a fellow traveller who is ahead of me and follows the same route and went through Middle America without real problems and last but not least a beautiful qoute I found in the San Francisco Chronicle from Winston Churchil: ’success is never final, failure is never fatal, it’s the courage to continue that counts’.
So after Thanksgiving I’ll be on the road again, going south.
